About TSO
Taylor’s Symphony Orchestra (TSO) had humble beginnings in 2008 as the Taylor’s Symphonic Band (TSB), founded by Mr. Sunny and a group of his music-loving peers. TSO is committed to propagating the beauty of music and the values of orchestral culture at Taylor’s University, by creating a platform for young musicians to share their musical journeys and cultivate their skills, thereby fostering a thriving musical community on campus. Throughout TSO's 15 years of journey, we have evolved and matured exponentially, enabling the orchestra to organize annual concerts, perform at various events and activities, and engage in meaningful collaborations with internal and external parties. TSO comprises a group of passionate musicians who aspire to create music that binds and generates lasting memories.

Student Conductor
Jonathan is a passionate student conductor who has embarked on a remarkable musical journey. He got into music from his first band, The 10th KL Boys' Brigade band as their captivating sound and cool factor drew him in, sparking his passion for percussion. Conducting for the first time during a band exchange between 10th KL and 1st KL Boys' Brigade cemented his path as a passionate student conductor.
It is currently his 3rd year in TSO and he intends to continue spreading his love and passion of music to everyone!
Zhi Ying, our beloved percussion section leader and score arranger for TSO.
Since young, she has been exposed to a variety of instruments, ranging from piano, violin and cello to name a few.
Her mastery of instruments does not go wasted in vain, as she has joined countless competitions and duets along her journey as a musician!
